Elliot Emery was born in Derby, in the UK. He graduated with a upper second class degree in Law (LL.B. Law) at the University of Birmingham before going on to graduate with a distinction in his Master’s degree in Human Rights Law (LL.M. Human Rights Law) at the University of Nottingham. For almost three years he worked as an immigration lawyer in the UK representing asylum seekers.He moved to Moscow in January 2019 and is the author of “Why are you going there?”He currently lives in Moscow, Russia where he works as an English teacher.
