Ilá has been an English teacher for over 15 years and she currently works as a teacher and a teacher trainer in Sao Paulo. As part of her professional development, she has obtained the Cambridge certificates for language and methodology and has been regularly attending and presenting in local, national and international conferences. Ilá is currently a member of BRAZ-TESOL advisory board and the president of Voices SIG, a group that works for women and other under-represented groups from all areas of ELT."
