Paul has over 20 years’ experience in foreign language education including teaching a range of course and learner types. He has also worked in related fields including curriculum and resource development, language testing, and translation. He is currently an Associate Professor involved in the EFL program at a Japanese national university and the founder and administrator of https://pomaka.com a website supporting EFL students and educators. Paul has an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham and the Cambridge CELTA(A). His research interests include spoken discourse, corpus linguistics, and phraseology.
